Colin Farrell Interview
I’m not painting myself as a down-home, modest guy,’ he says of his time living there, ‘I’m just saying that there was a sense of community that I think we all as human beings inherently want. I mean, we are tribal by nature, and sometimes success and material wealth can divide and separate – it’s not a new philosophy I’m sharing – more than hardship, hardship tends to unify.’ Does he think his vision of working-class life was a wee bit rose-tinted? ‘I guess I had romantic illusions,’ he says, ‘but they were fulfilled.More
REVIEW: LONDON BOULEVARD
Colin Farrell gives his best performance in years as ex-con Mitchell, who emerges from Pentonville Prison after three years anxious to sort his life out, his cool exterior masking a febrile edge.
In return for a place to stay in a swanky South London townhouse he is tempted into some small-time extortion by an old pal: nervy, greasy-haired gangster Billy (a brilliant Ben Chaplin).More

Another Review from London Boulevard
I’ve mocked the accent on Cinematic Dramatic but Farrell’s south London ex-criminal is a decent lead. Farrell having that presence that I haven’t seen since his earlier films like Daredevil (he was the best thing in it) for example. It’s nice to see him in a good physical role like this.More
London Boulevard -- Film Review
Saturday, November 27, 2010
LONDON -– Irish crime writer Ken Bruen has a stylish line in mean-streets poetry that Oscar-winning screenwriter William Monahan sashays winningly into "London Boulevard," his first feature as director. A mix of 1960s Brit gangster-movie flourish and 1940s Hollywood noir, it satisfies not only in the tradition of yarns boiled hard and wry, but as a savvy comment on fame and ambition.More
William Monahan about Colin
Thursday, November 25, 2010
When I met Colin, I knew instantly it was going to be him," he says. "Colin is a kinetic actor, always in motion, and here he plays it very cool, very chill. You can always see the emotions boiling under the surface.
It's an absolutely brilliant performance. He is the best actor i ever worked."

COLIN FARRELL TALKS LONDON BOULEVARD, BEING A DAD & TOTAL RECALL
Colin Farrell is back on our silver screen sin new flick London Boulevard. The Irish star had to go cockney on us for his role as a bodyguard in the flick that also stars Keira Knightley and Ray Winstone. And the star tells me his accent was a worry in front of a die-hard Londoner like Ray. He laughed: “I had a great dialect coach who came to my house in LA everyday – put the kettle on and then we would sit down and practice.More
Exclusive Interview with William Monahan for LONDON BOULEVARD
Friday, November 19, 2010
Colin I have always loved as an actor, I love him now as one of the finest and kindest men I’ve ever met, which he truly is, he has a great soul, and I’ve never ever seen him better than he is in London Boulevard. Keira is terrific in the film. I can’t imagine the film without Colin or Keira now, but I wrote London Boulevard as a spec off a book I’d bought with Quentin Curtis, with no absolute idea I’d really have the chance to cast or direct it, though I hoped or thought I might.Link

The Way Back review from Awards Daily
Friday, November 5, 2010
There is no doubt that The Way Back is a difficult sit. Is it an important movie? It will be to some groups, no doubt. Is it Weir’s best? Probably not. Is it one of the best of 2010? Most certainly. You don’t let a film like this slip through unnoticed. Weir gets major points for finding a unique way to tell a familiar story.
Other than Ed Harris, who seems destined, finally, for an Oscar nomination (and could he win this time?), the other major standout is Colin Farrell.More
