DreamWorks Announces 'Fright Night' Comic-Con Events and Colin is Confirmed

Things are starting to heat up at Comic-Con. Or maybe cool down... DreamWorks Pictures has announced that they're kicking off a Fright Night Fan Frenzy contest for Comic-Con 2011, that will include cast appearances at a Hall H panel on Friday, a party, and advance screening of the remake directed by Craig Gillespie, starring Anton Yelchin and Colin Farrell. It all kicks off with a social media "campaign" that encourages fans to use their social feeds on Facebook, Twitter and blogs to share movie content and check in to real world events to collect points. At the end of each week, the fan with the most will win a killer prize.
DreamWorks Studios is pleased to present a special insider look at its upcoming, 3D reimagining of the horror classic Fright Night at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International Convention. On Friday, July 22, a panel presentation will be held in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center. On the dais will be talent from the film, including Colin Farrell, Anton Yelchin, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Imogen Poots, director Craig Gillespie and screenwriter Marti Noxon. Activities also include a fan appreciation party as well as a screening in advance of the film's opening in theaters on August 19th. That's quite early!More

The action flick, due out August 3, 2012, also stars Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and Ethan Hawke.

Twilight is officially ending next year, but Hollywood is already lining up a replacement to fill the Cullen-less sexy vampire void left when Robert Pattinson is no longer cast in the role of Edward on the big screen. And I'm here to tell you his name: Jerry Dandrige.
eam Jerry! Jerry Forever? It doesn't have the same ring now but you'll get used to it. Especially since he's hawt. And he's Colin Farrell. The 35-year-old actor is playing the lead role of a modern vampire in a remake of Fright Night, to hit theaters in August. It's a dumb name for a movie about vampires but it's a remake from 1985 so that could explain it.
Sexiest Vampire (Not) Alive is a tough role to fill after Pattinson did it so iconically, but I think Farrell totally gives Robert a good run. There are definitely similarities that I'm sure Hollywood worked in purposely to build off the attraction we already have for his character. Or at least to get us comparing the two.Let's start with Jerry's clothes, they are all man -- simple but sexy, black t-shirts and jeans that look absolutely amazing on that lean bod. One scene shows him in a dirty wife-beater T, but he even looks good in that. Hair slicked just enough to leave that bedhead hair look that you want to rub your face hands through.
But Farrell may even edge RPatz out. No wimpy vegetarian vampires in this movie. Farrell is a bad bloodersucker who lives in a middle-class suburban neighborhood and goes around killing off high school students. If Bella had attended that school, she'd be long gone by now. There's just something so sexy about that to me, especially since I really hated high school.Source

In the comedy horror flick, out in August, Colin Farrell plays a secret vampire whose neighbor (Anton Yelchin) believes he's responsible for a string of deaths in their town.
"They got Robert Pattinson who's a stud but then we got Colin Farrell who's got the age and the studliness," Mintz-Plasse said.

MuchMusic announced today additional presenters for the biggest party of the year, the 2011 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS. Golden Globe® winner Colin Farrell, Godfather of Rap Snoop Dogg, sassy starlets Cassie Scerbo.
The night gets started with the 2011 MMVAs RED CARPET SPECIAL on Sunday, June 19 at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the main show at 9 p.m. ET.

As many of you already know, Colin Farrell has been in-town the past few weeks preparing for Len Wiseman's reboot of Total Recall. With sightings reported of him around Yorkville training aggressively for his physically-demanding role as Hauser, the Irishman who just turned 35 this past Tuesday was spotted coming out of Whole Foods earlier today at Hazelton Lanes, grabbing a bit of Takeaway with a Friend.

This report from Star Magazine would be a little bit more interesting if Rosario Dawson could actually manage to get a smaller, supporting part in a big-budget action film remake. Unfortunately, it came down to Rosario and Jessica Biel for Total Recall (the remake starring Colin Farrell), and somehow Biel was deemed more relevant. Shocking. Literally. Rosario and Jessica are equally irrelevant in my opinion, but Rosario is a better actress and way sexier than Biel. Anyway, Star Magazine had a story about how Rosario wanted the Total Recall part because she wants to finally, at long last, bone Colin Farrell:
Newly single Rosario Dawson is on the prowl! She already has her eye on Colin Farrell, Star has learned - although she just pulled the plug on her lengthy romance with French DJ Mathieu Schreyer.
“She’s already had real chemistry with Colin,” reveals a source close to the curvy brunette, who is up for a role in the new Total Recall remake. “Rosario has had a crush on him for years.”
Although sparks flew when Rosario and Colin shot the 2004 epic Alexander, the source adds, they have never been single at the same time since. But now the door seems open for the big-screen hotties to finally hook up.
“They would be spending lots of time together making Total Recall,” says the source. “Rosario intends to take full advantage of the situation.”
So now Rosario will just have to find another way to bone Colin. But something tells me that Jessica Biel might try to get in their first? Why oh why is Biel always put with the compulsive womanizers? Her first post-breakup costar was Gerard Butler, and now she’s going to work with Colin? Colin Farrell has been spotted looking incredibly sexy and filled-out around Yorkville with multiple Readers sending in their sightings. One Reader Brienne tells me this past Sunday she saw him walk by ONE Restaurant, crossing paths unknowingly with Mark Wahlberg who was lunching in the Patio at the time. Farrell, now filming Total Recall by Director Len Wiseman was seen posing with Fans earlier this week in a barely-there Tank Top in this Heatwave.Source
